NO thoughts + NO desires = HAPPINESS

Let go!
No use holding on to the dream.
No use remembering it or forgetting it.
Enjoyment or suffering, let it go.
Nothing ever is real.

"Neti Neti" - I am not the body, I am not the skin, I am not the blood, etc. The aim is to get into a frame of mind in which one convinces oneself that one's real nature is the Self, and that identification with the body or its constituent parts is erroneous.

He went to a deserted place to the north of Badrinath and called out, "Babaji, if you really exist, please appear in front of me!" A few seconds later a form materialised in front of him. The two men looked at each other for some time, but no words were exchanged. "As I looked at his eyes, I got the distinct impression that I was standing in front of Sukadev, the ancient rishi. If this were really so, he would have been thousands of years old."

"I have never met Babaji."

He lay down again and told me the whole story of how Hanumanji had given him a guided tour of all the important places in Chirtrakoot. At the climax of the story, the moment when Hanumanji vanishes, I looked down at Papaji and saw that his body had become red, hairy and muscular. The shape of his limbs changed until they resembled the hairy legs and arms of a large, red Hanumaji. I touched his legs to see if I was hallucinating and found that they were covered with real, red hairs. Papaji explained, "That is to show you that what I have been telling you is not just a story. Hanumanji himself has come to show you that it really happened."
