We can increase our faith and self-surrender only if we are repeatedly tested in the crucible of difficulties, disappointments, failures and losses. Then only can we see to what extent we have faith in God, and to what extent our surrender has grown. This is the mysterious way in which God's Grace works.

Do not be stubborn. Always be willing to change. Adjust yourself in such a manner as to be pleasing and friendly with all. Learn to react in a loving, peaceful manner. Love all and serve all. Then you will quickly win the hearts of those around you and shine like a star.
