This unusual photo of Nityananda, pictured sitting in the lap of Shivananda, had everyone talking about its origin. No one seemed to know where or by whom it was taken. Then one day, as Mohan was showing a visitor some old photos, they came across this unusual shot. The man suddenly said “I took this photo. I know this man.”

Mohan was initially upset that the man referred to Nityananda as “this man”, but he was intrigued and asked him about the photo. The man explained that he was 17 at the time. He was a regular visitor to Ganeshpuri, accompanying his mother who was a devotee of Nityananda.

His father had just bought him a new camera, and he bought it with him on his next visit to Ganeshpuri.

That day, there was a meeting between Nityananda and Shivananda.  As a young man, he wanted to get a funny photo. So he asked if they would do something funny so he could have a unique photo of them. They liked the idea and suddenly Nityananda jumped onto Shivananda’s lap, and Shivananda held him like a baby. The photo was taken, and everyone laughed very much.
